Working with schools

W.I.L.D. currently work with schools in Glasgow and further afield. We can welcome groups of up to 16 to join us at our Forest school sites in Linn Park or can facilitate larger groups for outdoor learning sessions in school grounds, bringing our equipment and expertise to you.

Forest school sessions

Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions.  These are 2 hour sessions which would be run weekly. Programmes are long term and can be tailored to meet your induvidual organisations needs. As our maximum participant number is 16 we can run AM and PM sessions to facilitate a class of up to 32.

In-service day training

W.I.L.D. run In-service day training for teachers. These are 2 hour sessions which can be hosted in Linn Park or again in your own school grounds if you have a wooded area. We can tailor sessions to meet the needs of those attending or those of the whole school community. Through discussion and practical tasks teachers will experience a Forest school session; gaining confidence and knowledge to take back to their school community.
