W.I.L.D. NEWS
August 2020
Thanks to a Glasgow City Council Community Area Partnership Grant W.I.L.D. provided Forest School sessions for the summer O.S.C hub at St Fillans Primary School.
It was great to explore and develop a new space, meet enthusiastic children and observe the wonder and delight they all experienced.

July 2020
We are delighted to report that W.I.L.D. is back up and running and we were out in Linn Park Local Nature Reserve delivering our first W.I.L.D. Forest Sessions this week!
And they have been such a great success! It seemed to be just what everyone needed. We cooked nettles 3 ways (crisps, tea with added raspberries and protein balls with oats). We played, we swung, we hung upside down, we used clay, we washed our hands many…many times. We were confident to provide a session where children could play freely outside and learn new skills safely.

W.I.L.D. Update 21st March 2020
Good things will return, nature proves that.🌈 💚🍄
This photo was taken in Linn Park Glasgow in April 2019, when W.I.L.D. first started. In a few weeks the Bluebells will return, hope you all get out and enjoy them. We'd like to say a massive thank you to our little W.I.L.D. community for all their kind messages and good will just now, it means a lot. We'll post some outdoor activities and ideas over the coming months. 💚🐛🐞🌳🌸🦋⚒💚

Other Community Involvement
We also were out working with Netherlee Primary School as part of their Community Learning Block. Here we looked at the Health of our Woodland, and The Science of Autumn, Wildlife tracking, and Survival Skills. Each week we have worked together to risk assess our site, litter picked and improved our woodland habitat.
Friends of Linn Park
W.I.L.D. continues to volunteer with the wonderful Friends of Linn Park and have been out doing lots of interesting conservation projects in the park. Including path clearing, removing Himalayan Balsam. Wildflower seeding and planting. Tree & hedgerow planting, and conservation work up at Cathcart Castle. Every day is a learning day! More information about how to get involved can be found on their facebook page: Lovelinnpark
Holiday Forest School Camps
W.I.L.D. has run blocks of all day Forest Camps during school holidays for 5-11 year olds.
There is so much fun and……MUD!!!!! Here's some of our Holiday Camp Sessions feedback.
